On December 14th at the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre anniversary evening will take place in honor of the 5th anniversary of the Faculty of Arts, St. Petersburg State University. The ceremony was organized in framework of the IV St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum, as the culminating event of the St. Petersburg State University project "Art and Culture in classical university."

Start the evening will be marked by the opening of an exhibition of creative works of students and graduates of St. Petersburg State University Faculty of Arts - designers, painters, masters of arts and crafts, film artists, restorers. In addition, in the foyer of the Concert Hall of the event, guests will be able to meet multimedia works by graduates of the department of information systems in the arts and humanities, St. Petersburg State University.

During the pageant "We were born in the constellation of Art" at the Concert Hall will be presented a multimedia presentation of the educational programs of St. Petersburg State University, performances by musicians and artists - students and graduates of the University. The poems of Joseph Brodsky will be performed by People's Artist of Russia Vadim Lobanov, music by Tchaikovsky will be presented one of the best carillonists of the world, St. Petersburg State University Professor Joseph Willem Haazen and winner of international competitions, associate professor of St. Petersburg State University, pianist Galina Zhukova. The theatrical prologue ceremony variety of creative educational methods will be illustrated by the students of the Department of Theatre Arts. Future graduates of the educational program "Vocal art", who will graduate from St. Petersburg State University in 2016, will demonstrate their skills and congratulate famous students with "Drinking Song" from the opera J. Verdi's "La Traviata".

Joint creative action of Academy of Young Singers of the Mariinsky Theatre and the St. Petersburg State University will finish the evening program - a concert performance of the opera I. Tsumshtega "Lenore." Artistic director and director – people’s artist of Republic of North Ossetia - Alania, professor of St. Petersburg State University Hrayr Hanedanyan, conductor - artistic director of the Youth Chamber Orchestra of St. Petersburg State University, Honored Artist of Russia Andrey Alexeev.
