Soviet and Russian writer, historian and host of "The Glass Bead Game" on the TV channel "Culture" Igor Volgin will hold the main plenary session of the VI International Congress "Russian literature in the global cultural context. Results of the year of literature", which will be held in the framework of the IV St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum from 13 to 16 December. The event will be attended by about 200 Russian writers, poets, critics and scientists from Russia and foreign countries.

"Apart from scientific results that will bring the Congress, it is very important that participants from different regions and countries of the world will gather in one place, look each other in the eyes," to embrace the souls. "Such events allow you to save a single Russian cultural environment despite borders and distance!"- Said Igor Volgin.

Congress "Russian literature in the global cultural context" is an annual forum, that has earned widespread recognition of the humanitarian community. This year poet, director, screenwriter and writer Yevgeny Yevtushenko will take part in it. Discussion sections and round tables under the program will be held by such well-known writers and scholars as Avigdor Eskin, Alexei Varlamov, Vladislav Otroshenko Karen Stepanyan and many others.
