Today starts the IV St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum. Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Alexander Zhuravsky noted that more than 10 thousand people have registered for the various events and 5 thousand of them have already received their accreditation cards.
- We have received applications for accreditation from 79 countries - said Zhuravskii. - 46 official delegations of the Ministries of Culture have already arrived in St. Petersburg. More than 250 events are held at a various venues of the city, one third of those - cultural program. They will be attended by the guests of the Forum, and St. Petersburg citizens.
Alexander Zhuravsky noted that the Cultural Forum this year has caused an increased interest among city residents.
- A new program of such scale event includes free admission to theaters and museums, - said Alexander Zhuravsky. - We provide the participants with free access to 25 museums and donate tickets to theater performances. The excitement with which we have faced, demonstrates the great attention and interest of the residents of the northern capital to the cultural life of the city.
