During the closing ceremony of IV St.Petersburg international cultural forum there will be the presentation of a new prize of Russian Ministry of Culture destined for librarians, stage workers, lightning effects specialists, sound producers and other people who usually stay in the background of cultural events. Russian Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky has told about it to "Russia 24".
- That will be a prize, which has never existed before, it will be awarded not to cultural figures. - said Vladimir Medinsky. - Indeed, we forget about hundreds of thousand ordinary people, which every day of their life work for the welfare of culture and the whole country. If we speak about museums, there are curators and research assistants; if we speak about libraries, there are librarians; if we speak about theatres, there are not actors and directors, but stage workers - lightning effects specialists, sound producers. The Ministry of Culture has created Prize named after Lunacharsky, which was the first who began pay attention to ordinary people.
Moreover, Minister of Culture informed that within the framework of the Forum several important events were planned: the report of UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova, the signning of important agreements, among which the conract between the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and "Lukoil" on the creation of Maly Theatre in Kogalym as well as a number of other significant events.
