On December 15 the Business Venue hosted Award Ceremony of the Cultural and historical monuments management agency “Best implemented project of Cultural heritage adaptation to contemporary use”. The President of the PJSC "Lukoil” Vagit Alekperov received the award from Vladimir Medinskiy, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation. Within the framework of the Business venue of IV St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum the best investors, who engage in preserving and adopting objects of immovable cultural heritage (OCH) to contemporary use, have been handed the awards of the CHMMA.
The ceremony opened with a welcome speech by Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinskiy. “The CHMMA Agency is an opportunity to revive our old beautiful architectural monuments, give them a new life”, - pointed the Minister.
Vladimir Medinskiy presented the award to the President of the PJSC "Lukoil” Vagit Alekperov for the project “Zinoviev - Yusupov chambers” in nomination “For urban planning solution” for the contemporary adaptation into a numismatic club.
During the event six nominees were awarded prizes “For the best executed project in OCH adaptation into a hotel, a restaurant, a club”, “For the best project in out-of-town OCH adaptation”, “For the best project in OCH adaptation into an office space”, “For the best project in OCH museumification”. The winners were awarded the Laureate status, diplomas, commemorative tokens and certificates. The Laureates are projects in reconstruction of the "Horse breeder Telegin House”, “The women academy building” in Ples, “Zharikov House” and others. These projects showcase examples of an effective, and at the same time gentle approach to the architectural monuments.
The ceremony was hosted by the Chief Editor of Okhranyaetsya Gosudarstvom magazine Andrey Novikov-Lanskoy, among the guests were the Head of Federal state budget cultural institution Agency for Cultural and Historical Landmarks Management and Utilization Oleg Ryzhkov, Artistic Director of the State Maly Theatre Yuri Solomin, Director General of the State Maly Theatre Tamara Mikhailova, directors of construction and restoration companies, as well as members of the award panel, nominees and winners from different regions of Russia.
