The solemn closing ceremony of the IV St.Petersburg international cutural forum will take place this evening at 19 o'clock in the Mihailovsky Theatre. There also will be a presentation of the prize of the Directorate of St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum named after Anatoly Lunacharsky.
Guests of the ceremony will be greeted with welcoming speeches delivered by the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky and St.Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko. Then the workers of cultural industry of the Russian Federation, which are not representatives of creative professions, for the first time will be awarded the prize for achievements in the development of cultural industry. The ceremony will be hosted by St.Petersburg tv and radio host Aleksandr Malich.
Chairman of the Heraldry Council under the President of the Russian Federation Georgy Vilinbakhov, choreographer Farooq Ruzimatov, Director General of the National Library Anton Likhomanov, journalist and public figure Anton Nosik, ballet dancer Nikolai Tsiskaridze, director Alexey Uchitel and many other cultural figures will appear on the stage for the announcement of the names of laureates.
Prizes will be awarded in nine categories: "Employee of the folklore, ethnographic, scientific and research center for the study of popular culture", "Employee of film studio", "Employee of concert organization", "Worker of circus", "Teacher of children's art schools, children's music and art schools", "Employee of cultural and leisure institutions "," Librarian","Employee of the theater" and "Employee of the museum".
At the end of the ceremony guests will see Act II of the ballet "The Nutcracker" at the Mikhailovsky Theatre.
