The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Alexander Zhuravsky.
On August 12 the Russian Museum of Ethnography hosted a meeting dedicated to preparation for the IV St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum with participation of representatives of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Government of St. Petersburg, as well as curators and representatives of various sections of the Forum: Semyon Mikhailovsky, Oleg Ryzhkov, Sergey Stadler, Boris Eifman and others. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Alexander Zhuravsky.
The head of the Forum Directorate, Egor Moskvin, introduced to the participants the new member of the working group. The curators of Forum sections were joined by Vadim Gagloev, General Director of Rosgostsirk Company. Mr. Gagloev will lead the Circus and Street Theater section together with the Artistic Director of the Bolshoi St. Petersburg State Circus on Fontanka Vyacheslav Polunin.
The working meeting was also attended by the Executive Secretary of the UNESCO Affairs Commission of the Russian Federation Grigory Ordzhonikidze. Special events of the Business and Public Flows at the IV St. Petersburg Cultural Forum will be held to celebrate the 70th anniversary of UNESCO.
The Directorate of the Forum presented to the participants of the working meeting the updated program of the Forum, the schedule of various preparatory events and a report on the first results of the Directorate’s work. The official website of the Forum moved to a different address and now has a new look. Registration of Forum participants has started, and the current version of the discussion and cultural programs of the Forum is available for discussion.
