Year 2016 will be devoted to Russian cinematograph. The Cinema section within the IV St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum will bring together experts of the field and will start the work in the direction of developing and promoting national cinematograph.
The draft Presidential Decree “On holding the year of Russian cinema in the Russian Federation” was published by the Culture Ministry in July, 28. With reference to the Year of literature the Year of cinematograph should encourage promotion of Russian cinematic art and improvement of its quality.
Work of Cinema section headed by Fyodor Bondarchuk during the IV St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum will play an important role in planning the events for the next year and will also encourage the dialogue between government institutions and workers of culture, pace productive work in field of development of national cinematograph and its promotion.
The programme of the official flow also includes the festival “Cinema on the big screen. Restauration and development” devoted to discussing the problems of release and making recommendations to solve them. And for the first time there’ll be a list of Russian films recommended for including in UNESCO programme presented within business flow. Cinema section will present the festival of films included into the UNESCO World Heritage List as part of a social programme. The events of the educational flow accessible for wide audience include public lectures and master classes in field of cinema.
