The attention of experts will be focused on administrative regulation of educational system. Liberal arts education in the world, prospects for integration of education and culture, new opportunities of realization for musical and theatrical educational projects, the international experience of creating big educational centres and other matters – these are the points to be discussed by participants of the section which work will be divided in three main flows – business, educational and social one.

Business event flow

The discussion program of a business flow will be led off by the International Conference “Museums of XXI century. New educational paradigms” in November, 25 – even before the Forum starts working. The event will be held under the aegis of the Forum. There are such issues as variety of educational programs in museum affairs, introduction of new methods of education, cultural and educational potential of exhibit spaces of different kinds and many others among the main topics.

The round-table discussion “Repin and/or Beuys. Wölfflin and/or Derrida. Museum and/or biennale. Problems of professional art education in the era of changes” will be held as part of the main program of the Forum. The participants of discussion will debate on the ways to solve relevant problems of art educational system. The experts will observe modern methods of training artistic and pedagogical personnel and try to answer how to save the traditions of national professional education in field of arts and pass them to new generations.

After taking part in the round-table discussion “The experience of Russian education in European museums” guests of the Forum will be able to see a unique project on creating an educational museum complex. The employees of the exhibition centre “Hermitage Amsterdam” will share the experience of implementing the Russian project in the European museum.

The business flow will be closed by presentation of the program “PRO BONO” by St. Petersburg State University. Its target is to perfect the partnership of Saint Petersburg high schools on arts and cultural institutions. Participants of the meeting will sum up the implementation of the new project during the current year and sign memorandums of co-working in various dimensions in 2016.

Educational event flow

The public lecture of a world famous Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas on development of liberal arts education will be one of the main events of the Forum.

It will be possible to learn about charity work of large Russian and international corporations in field of education and culture at the meeting “Charity in culture” with students of St. Petersburg State University.

Master classes with teachers of St. Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design will acquaint the participants with unique Russian school of art and industrial education and the peculiarities of teaching different techniques of arts and crafts.

Master classes for school teachers will be held as part of the presentation of the cultural and educational program “Pedagogical laboratory of Tovstonogov Russian State Academic Bolshoi Drama Theatre”. Teachers will be able to perfect their skills of controlling the audience’s attention and forging feedback under the guidance of theatre experts. The participants of the program will also get acquainted with a repertoire and creative projects of the theatre.

The educational flow will be closed with the academic conference devoted to relevant issues of intellectual property in field of education, science and culture. The participants will share experience in resisting the breach of copyright and will discuss the system of managing intellectual property, minimizing risk of losing innovative results of scientific researches, etc.

Public event flow

The opening of the collective exhibition orginised by the Gorky Research Library of St. Petersburg State University, the Presidential Library named after Boris Yeltsin and the Novgorod State Open-air Museum will be devoted to 70-th anniversary of UNESCO. The exhibition will become one of the main events of the social flow.

Participants of the Forum will also be able to visit the exhibition of works by students of St. Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design for the academic year 2014/2015. The exhibition is called “Great review. The colour of nation is in light of talents”.
