The festival program under the auspices of the Forum is open

Culture cannot exist without public response. The Forum’s goal is to create, support and develop the cultural sphere, to open the opportunity for St. Petersburg to visit new exhibitions, presentations and theatre events. Thus, around 100 events will start under the auspices of the Forum for those who want to find an interesting culture field and get acquainted with other new cultural genres.

 

Mikhailovsky Theatre will impress the audience with the premiere of the ballet "Le Corsaire", the premiere of the opera "The Flying Dutchman", with the ballets "Na floresta. Prelude. White Darkness" and "Multiplicity. Forms of Silence and Emptiness" and with the lyric scenes "Eugene Onegin".

And the premiere of Hazalov’s performance “The life of Galilei” will take place on the new scene of Alexandrinsky theatre. “The city. Marriage. Gogol” will be represented on the scene of Lensovet theatre in November, and performance “Revisor” by Valery Fokin’s will take place on 14th of December on the main scene of Aleksandrinsky theatre.

Museums and exhibition centers also prepared wide program. Citizens of the “ultural capital of Russia” will learn more about Russian history in the Russian Museum at an exhibitions “Treasures of ancient Russia”, “Peter the Great” from the cycle “Saga about Romanovs”.

The State Hermitage Museum will present the collection of early photography “Studio. Lightwriting of Levitskiy” and “Mechanical wonders”. In November the exhibition “Golden generation. Modernism in the Finish architecture and design” in the lecture room of the General staff will be opened and in the Winter Palace at an exhibition “Monastery of mercy” St. Petersburg citizens will learn everything about Tibetan Buddhism.

Russian ethnography museum opens the exhibition “Christmas in Brodskii poetry”. Governmental museum of political history will disclose the topic of the Great Patriotic War in the exhibition projects “They warned…” and “The Liberation of Europe”. On 12th of November The State library for the blind opens the exhibition “Through the pages of favorite works”. 16th December “Petersburg literature walks” will take place in Lermontov library.

Besides exhibitions and theatre program, concerts and musical performances will be shown under the auspices of the Forum. On the 17thof November The Charity foundation of Andris Liepa and Vaganova Ballet Academy will present the concert dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the concert hall Oktiabr'sky. 16th of December will take place the concert of symphonic orchestra and soloists of St Petersburg State Academic Capella under the leading of Alexander Chernyshenko, people's artist of Russia. The concert of Beethoven’s music with will take place on 19th of December in Smolny cathedral.
