Guide to December exhibitions

Under the auspices of the IV St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum in December, several unique exhibitions will open their doors for visitors, where visitors could get acquainted with the art of photography, contemporary art, even with unusual clockwork mechanisms. On December the 4th will take place the exhibition "Atelier "Light painting of Levitsky." Early Photography in the collection of the State Hermitage." Initially, Sergei Levitsky chose a career of law and administration, but one day went to the Caucasus to study the mineral waters of Pyatigorsk, and became interested in daguerreotyping.

December 6 at Leningrad Center will take place an exhibition of contemporary Russian-Dutch-French painter Marc Kaplan. The artist used to work at Lenfilm, was an artist of films "Sentimental Romance", "Nameless Star", "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson."

On December the 8th the exhibition "Catherine II and Stanislaw August. Two enlightened rulers in Eastern Europe" starts at the State Hermitage. Fateful meeting of Catherine and Stanislaw August occurred in 1755, when at the ball in honor of the Patron Saint's successor the British ambassador introduced them to each other.
