Fassbinder's film editor Juliane Lorenz will participate in the cultural Forum

Juliane Lorenz will participate in the section "Cinema" in the framework of the IV St. Petersburg international cultural forum. For six years she worked together with the famous Rainer Werner Fassbinder, one of the leaders of the "new German cinema". "Lola," "The Marriage of Maria Braun" and "Lili Marlene", "The Longing of Veronika Voss" and four other world-famous films were created thanks to their joint work.

 

Actress, Director, screenwriter and producer Juliane Lorenz in the early 90-ies took charge of the "Rainer Werner Fassbinder Foundation", which today is engaged in preserving and promoting the heritage of the Director. She made a documentary about the life and work of Fassbinder "Life, Love & Celluloid", which used interviews with colleagues, friends and relatives of the legendary Director. Besides, Lorenz has written and edited several books about the life of Fassbinder, for example, "Ordinary chaos".

 

On the Cultural Forum Juliane Lorenz will take part in the round table “Films on a big screen. Restoration and Development “ on December 15th at the Lenfilm studio. That evening, in one of the bookstores of the city, she will give a lecture and show the film "Deutschland im Herbst " in which production she participated as an editor.
