Famous dancer and Emmy Award winner Ana Laguna will participate in the Forum

 

Section "Ballet and Dance" at the IV St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum will be visited by Ana Laguna - famous Swedish dancer, winner of many awards, including «Premio Nacional de Danza» and Emmy, honored professor at the Ministry of Culture of Sweden.

 

Ana Laguna, the wife and muse of the Swedish choreographer Mats Ek, known execution of the leading parties in his productions ("Giselle", "Carmen", "Swan Lake", "The House of Bernarda Alba"). Moreover, Laguna danced in ballet productions and Merce Cunningham, Jiri Kylian, Nacho Duato, Maurice Bejart, Ohad Naharin, William Forsythe, Alexei Ratmansky. She danced with Rudolf Nureyev, and often performed with Mikhail Baryshnikov.

 

On the Cultural Forum Ana Laguna will take part in a round table on the 70th anniversary of UNESCO's "Classical heritage - museum or theater?" on December 14th at the Mariinsky Theatre. The moderator of the round table was the artistic director of the St. Petersburg State Academic Ballet Theatre, People's Artist of Russia Boris Eifman.
