In the section "Ballet and Dance" at the IV St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum will participate Yuri Fateev - Head of the Mariinsky Ballet troupe, Honored Artist of Russia.
As a teacher-tutor of the Mariinsky Theatre, he has worked on productions of ballets by George Balanchine, Roland Petit, John Neumeier, Alexei Ratmansky, William Forsythe, Christopher Wheeldon, Jose Antonio. In addition, Fateev invited to the Royal Ballet and the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, gave master classes at the Paris Opera Ballet, he taught at the Royal Swedish Ballet and Pacific Nord-West Ballet (USA), the Royal Danish Ballet, where he staged fragments of ballet " Corsair". He took part in the project "Kings of the Dance" in the United States and Russia, and the project "Stiefel and Stars" in the US, where he staged fragments of classical plays.
On the Cultural Forum Yuri Fateev will participate in a round table devoted to the 70th anniversary of UNESCO, "Classic Heritage - Museum or Theatre?" on December 14 at the Mariinsky Theatre. The moderator of the meeting was the artistic director of the St. Petersburg State Academic Ballet Theatre, People's Artist of Russia Boris Eifman.
