A previously unknown work by Giacomo Puccini will be first performed in Russia in the framework of the Cultural Forum in St. Petersburg. Today, 30 November, in the Media Center of the Government of St. Petersburg a round table discussion "Why Petersburg Cultural Forum?" was held. It was attended by Inna Shalyto, chairman of the Committee for Tourism of St. Petersburg, Sergei Stadler, head of the section “Music” IV St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum, Roman Kovrikov Deputy Director General for cultural and educational work of the State Museum "Peterhof" and Kerman Mandzhieva, Director of Public Relations of the Northwest branch of OJSC "MegaFon".
The purpose of IV St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum is to promote the culture, and along with the culture promoting Russia: its peacefulness and competitiveness in many areas. Cultural Forum, held in St. Petersburg, has every reason to become the largest permanent meeting place of artists from around the world. This gives the town a tourist and investment attractiveness. Inna Shalyto, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of St. Petersburg, said: "The rich historical heritage and cultural program of the city, of course, has a direct effect on investment in the city and shows how the city is perceived in the world. I hope, IV St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum will be one of the most significant events in our world-class city."
As the head of the section "Music" Sergei Stadler noted, the program of the Cultural Forum this year is very busy, and it will please not only experts in the field of culture, but also the visitors and residents of St. Petersburg. "Experience tells us that the forum participants have little or no opportunity to come to these events, accordingly, we have their works mainly for Petersburg public" - shared Stadler. Within the framework of the IV International Cultural Forum in St. Petersburg will be played for the first time in Russia a previously unknown piece of music composer Giacomo Puccini's "Scherzo". This event will be held December 15 at the Yusupov Palace. It is worth noting that last year the section "Music" was presented to the regional experience in creating virtual concert halls. As a result of the Forum of Ministers of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky, commissioned to broadcast this experience throughout the country, and this year 28 virtual concert halls appeared in Russia.
From 14 to 16 December 2015 St. Petersburg will host IV St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum. The forum was founded in 2012 as a unique platform for international meetings, free dialogue and exchange of experience between experts in the field of culture and cultural policy. Today the Forum includes 12 sections devoted to various aspects of culture and art.
