Two thirds of the Russian citizens are sure that government needs to develop domestic tourism

 

According to the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM), about 67 percent of Russians believe that the authorities need to focus their efforts on the development of domestic tourism, and not to focus on the safety of Russian tourists abroad.

 

It is the tourist potential of Russia that will be discussed the participants of the III St. Petersburg International tourism forum, which will be held in the northern capital, from 15 to 17 December. In round tables and discussions will arrive experts from 70 regions of the country, and moderate the meeting will be the most prominent representatives of the sector: deputy heads of the Federal Tourism Agency, Sergei Korneev and Alexey Konyushkov, director of the Department of Tourism and Regional Policy, Ministry of Culture of Russia Olga Yarilova, deputy head of the Federal Tourism Agency Nikolai Korolev and a lot others.

 

The focus of the Forum will be the development of tourism in the Far East of Russia, accessible tourism and the current problems of the industry. The purpose of the St. Petersburg International Tourist Forum is to identify best practices and new ideas, attracting investments to the industry. In addition, the Forum will discuss a bill allowing employers to compensate for the cost of holidays in Russia to its employees worth up to 50 thousand rubles, and also to make a tax deduction of the cost of ticket around Russia.
