Within the section "Cinema" at the IVI St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum operator David Lynch and Jim Jarmusch Frederick Elmes will hold an exclusive master class. It will show how to use the cinematic means to immerse the viewer in a surreal atmosphere.
Meeting be held on December 12 from 11:30 to 16:00 in Hall №1 "Lenfilm" studio. Frederick Elmes on the site will recreate the set of the film and will demonstrate how to use the lighting, camera movements and other ways to achieve the desired effect.
Elmes worked with director David Lynch on the film "Blue Velvet," "Eraserhead" and "Wild at Heart". Besides cinematographer known for his collaboration with director Jim Jarmusch, for example, in the film "Night on Earth" or "Coffee and Cigarettes: Somewhere in California". The Elms filmography includes such popular works as "The Hulk" and "Bride Wars." He is a two-time winner of the "Independent spirit" award and was awarded the prize of the Boston Society of Film Critics for Best Cinematography.
