In the section "Cinema" of IV St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum will take part film arhivist and film historian Bruce Posner from the United States. He will give a lecture about the American avant-garde and experimental films, and together with his colleagues will discuss the restoration of classic films.

First meeting film historian will hold on December 14 at 19:30 in a bookshop "The word order". There will be a presentation of the "Masterpieces of American avant-garde and experimental cinema." In Russia, the anthology will be demonstrated for the first time. All the movies are restored according to the latest requirements and using the most advanced technical tools. Some of them will even feature new music. Anyone could visit the screening, there is free admition to the event. 

The second event with Bruce Posner is only available for visit by participants of the Forum - December 15 at 12 am at the Lenfilm will be the round-table conference “Films on a big screen. Restoration and Development”. Leading experts in the field of restoration archival film, representatives of European cinema museums, archives, and art-house cinemas will talk about how to live a classic movie on the big screen today, as well as by means of the restoration of the film to give it a new life.
