Prima ballerina of the Mariinsky Theatre and People's Artist of Russia Diana Vishneva will participate in the session "Ballet and dance." Internationally known for the production of "Giselle", "Swan Lake" and "Sleeping Beauty," the dancer and her colleagues will discuss the issue of conservation, restoration and adaptation of the classic masterpieces of choreography at the round table “Classical Heritage –Museum or Theatre?”. The event is timed to the 70th anniversary of UNESCO, and will be held within the walls of the Mariinsky Theatre on 14 December, from 11 to 14 hours.
The artistic director of the St. Petersburg State Academic Ballet Theatre, People's Artist of Russia Boris Eifman will moderate the meeting. Famous figures from around the world will come to discuss topical issues of ballet: artistic director of the Dortmund Ballet Wang Xing Peng, Swedish dancer Ana Laguna, President of the International Dance Council UNESCO Alkis Raftis, rector of the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet Nikolai Tsiskaridze, artistic director of the Korean National Ballet Kang Sue Jin and many others.
