IV St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum will include more than 150 events, which will be subdivided into four flows: official, business, education and public. Twelve sections will cover all the major directions in cultural development, from preserving the cultural heritage to formulating cultural policy, as well as the entire range of classical arts.
This year the Forum will celebrate the 70th anniversary of UNESCO and the 25th anniversary of inclusion of the first Russian landmarks into the World Heritage List – Kizhi islands wooden architecture, Moscow Kremlin and the historic center of St. Petersburg. In the Year of Literature a special section will be dedicated to literature and reading. The agenda of the Forum will include very complex issues, such as import and export of cultural valuables, preservation of cultural heritage, maintaining copyright for the works of art in the Internet, and many other issues.
St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum is one of the leading discussion venues for cultural workers, public figures, politicians and businesspeople. This year the events of the program under the auspices of the IV St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum will commence in October. The program part of the Forum will be held on December 14-16 in Russia’s northern capital.
